June 25 Rotary Club «Rostov- on- Don," a solemn event, «Change Wheels." By tradition, the club president is elected for a year and is headed by the Rotary Club from July 1 to July 1.

Some time back the Rotary Club «Rostov-on-Don» was asked by Igor Anisimov. Igor — disabled since childhood. He appealed to members of the club with a request to purchase for him with an electric wheelchair.

November 2007

Disable Leonid, alumni of Novocherkassk Children House will work with the new computer now. It was bought and delivered to him on 26 of November with the help of our Rotarian fellows from Izhevsk. Thanks to Marina Ivanova (Rostov Rotary Club) and Maxim Konovalov (Izhevsk Rotary Club)

Rostov Club recommends 4 candidates — medics for participating in «Open World» Program. The program finances with USA Government and is aimed to professional development in different vocations. Educational trip for medics will take place in Denver, USA in April 2008.

Our Club got two more members. Andrey Zabelev, Chief Doctor of Eurodon Clinic and Andrey Miroshnikov, plant director were admitted on 22nd of November.

District 2220 started the project «Talented Children Orphans». The aim pf the project is to help talented children who have no parents.

Rostov Club will finance surgery for Julia Tcernikh. Julia is 5 years old and her diagnosis is cerebral palsy.

Rostov Club nominated Dmitry Parshikov, Past President 2002-2003 and one of the Club founders to District 2220 Election Committee

Rotarians decided to buy a computer for Novocherkassk Children House alumni disabled Leonid. Leonid has graduated the school of NCH last year. Leonid wants to earn his living himself and so that he needs a computer. Club members consider that this action can turn into a project because about 10 teenagers graduate NCH school annually.

September 2007

Assembly of Russian Rotary Clubs has finished in Krasnodar. There were many interesting seminars and Rotarian trainings there. Many questions were discussed and many solutions were founded. Our club fellows Olga Ermolova, Marina Ivanova, Roman Gribenouk and President Irina visited the Assembly.

Presentation of Olga Ermolova’s project «Every child needs a family» took place on meeting of Rostov Noncommercial Fund «I have no mother». The Fund helps orphans to survive and to find new families. Olga Ermolova cooperates with the Fund in the frames of her project.

Trip to Novocherkassk Children House took place on 1st of September. Rotarians congratulated children and teachers and brought some presents — microphones for school theatre, sweets and cookies. President Irina and Elena Bateenko, director of Children House discussed further plans of cooperation.

Meeting with DG 2220 2007–08 Anatoly Voloshin will be held in Krasnodar city on April 21, 2007.

Trip to Novocherkassk Children House will take place on September 1, 2007. Rotarians are going to congratulate children with the beginning of new school year.

Tour to the one of the beautiful Russian canyons Lago-Naki took place in August. Rotarians enjoyed the tour and thank Ivan Nepeivoda for perfect organization.

On May 27, 2007 Playground for children and Photo Laboratory were opened in Novocherkassk Children House for disabled children. DG Andrei Danilenko visited the Opening Ceremony.

President Nominee Irina Khomyakova visited PETS in Saint-Petersburg. She reported about this informative educational event on meeting of the Club.

Rotary Club «Rostov-na-Donu» was awarded with the Letter of Gratitude from District 2220 for its service in 2006–2007 Rotarian year and invaluable help in development of new Russian District.
